First Mountain Trip

Today my dad and I went up to White Peak and then under the Haystack on the 4-wheeler. It was a really good ride. We didn't see any wild life, but we saw a lot of beautiful scenery.

Summer Adventures 2010

Well school is out and now I can finally catch up on some things. This is going to be a busy summer. My parents have projects for me to help out with. I've got workshops to attend, countries to visit and a week relaxing in St. George. Like I said a busy summer. This week my Dad and I finished one of our projects. Early this spring I was driving around Spring City and saw this really cool gate. The Gate was made out of an old iron Wagon Wheel and horse shoes. So I went home and told my Dad, I saw this coolest gate and I think we should build one. So we went out to the farm and found a old iron wagon wheel and old horseshoes. We started our project Monday and finally hung the gate yesterday. After a week of getting sun burnt from the welder, getting burnt from sparks and tons of laughing we finished with a smile!

Disney Cruise 2009

I had such a good time on the cruise. It was really warm, sunny most days. Jen and I had a veranda which was totally the only way to go. Jen unfortunately go hurt the second day we were there. We thought she sprained her ankle but actually broke it in two places. So Katie and I ran around the ship like two crazy people. We had our pictures taken with lots and lots of characters. We had a blast snorkeling in St. Thomas, even though Katie got a little sea sick from drinking too much sea water. We saw Sea Turtle and tons and tons of fish. Every morning when I would wake up I ran to the veranda to watch the sun rise. Yes for some reason I was up with the sun. Jen, Katie and I got spa passes to the Rain Forest Room. They had heated stone beds and steam saunas that was amazing. We went with Katie and Jen's mom Shauna and her sister Charlot and her husband John. We played crazy rummy almost everyday in one of the bars. The shows, entertainment and food were out of this world. I'm still having with drawls from not having a three course dinner every night. I miss my bed begging turned down every night and those amazing towel animals. The Disney Island was AMAZING I got to see the actually Flying Dutchman From the Pirate's Movies. It was way cool. Katie and I played in the water and saw a Sting Ray, Huge Star Fish and two Sand Dollars that had bitten me. We also made sand castles and ate lots and lots of good food. When we were flying home I told Jen that I wanted to stay and be an Islander. I could trade the white snow for those sandy white beaches any day. When we landed In Salt Lake reality hit in, along with the freezing weather. I'm glad to back and school, but can't wait for my next Disney Cruise.

New Moon

I know I haven't posted in a really, really, long time. So I'll try to catch you up on whats been going on in my world. Halloween was a blast, I dressed as a purple witch (I'll post picture later) Katie was a banana, and Jen was a zombie. We headed to Payson and had a bon fire, chili, hot cider and lots of candy to give out to all the great costumes. We set everything up in Jen's and Katie's moms front yard. We had so much fun we are thinking of making a tradition out of it.

I'm headed for a Disney Cruise on December 4th - 12th I really can't wait. We are headed to the Eastern Caribbean (St. Thomas and Tortula). You might be thinking who are we, well let me tell ya. Jen, Katie, Shawna (Jen and Katie Mom) Charlet and John (Jen and Katie aunt and uncle.) I will definitely post picture when I return.

If you haven't seen New Moon you are missing out. I've seen it three times and it has been out for only three days. We went to the midnight movie on Thursday, we also went to a New Moon Expo at the South Towne Expo Center. We had a blast, I got a tattoo that says Twilight it's black and very sparkly. Before you start to fr eek out if you really know me, you already know I terrified of needles and would never get a tattoo. I got an air brush tattoo it will come off in a couple days. Last night we went to the District with a bunch of friends to watch it for the second time. Then Jen and I headed back to the District this morning to watch it again. I'm sure Jen and I will go see it tomorrow, yes I know I'm a dork but why not it's fun.

I Didn't Break It!!

A couple week's ago, my cousin and I took a ride in the mountain. At the most dangerous part of the canyon my 1975 jeep quit. I had all my passenger get so if I rolled off the mountain I only had to worry about me. Thanks heaven I got it started and made it to level ground. We let sit of about 5 minutes and then it started up and was fine after that. When I told my Dad he said, "Well what did you do. Maybe you shouldn't take the jeep up the mountain anymore." So I thought I done something wrong. Well yesterday my parents I started out for a jeep ride. We were planning on going up Ephraim Canyon, down Orangeville road to Joe's Valley. Then up to Potter's Pond where my dad's uncle Allen was camping. We go about 2 miles from Ephraim and the jeep quit. My dad said, "Well that sounds like the fuel pump." I said," Yeah I didn't break the jeep." So we head back to Spring City. My dad and I jumped on our 4-wheelers and headed up the canyon. Now if you have been up the canyon in the past 10 years you know that the road is really rocky. We finally made it to the top of the mountain and headed across the Skyline to Bacon Rine road. Bacon Rine is just as bumpy as Spring City Canyon. We finally made it to Potter's Pond and started looking for Allen camp. It took us about half hour to find them, but we did. When we decided to head home my Dad asked if I wanted to go up Reeder Cayon 4-wheeler road. It sounded fun to me so we headed up the canyon. Again we found another bumpy road. About an hour later we finally pulled up on the Skyline and headed to Spring City Canyon. When we reached the head to our Canyon. I looked and my dad and said, "You go first if you make it down all the bump call me and I follow." My arms and shoulder were very tired. When we reached the well we saw that the forest service had tempted to grade the road. The road was better but there were still a lot of rocks. We were almost home and my 4-wheeler quit. It was out of gas, so I put it on reserve to make it the last mile home. We went over 70 miles and 60 of them were on really rocky, bumpy, miserable roads. I had tons of fun for my last summer ride. I have alway said when you go in the mountains it's always an adventure.

Fish Lake 4-wheeling

Thursday August 6th a bunch of people from Spring City headed to Fish Lake Mountain. We took a 50 mile ride taking most of our day. Starting our trip to Salina we got rained on, so that kinda made us wonder what kind of weather we were getting into. fortunately we only had cloudy skies, and lot and lots of wind. I was amazed on how many Basalt rocks we saw , from an ancient volcano. Some of the rocks were the size of my car. My favorite mountain was Mount Hilgard it stood 11533 feet above sea level. We saw some deer and three coytoes. The country was beautiful, and lush with large green meadows.

Summer Adventures

Well where did my summer go? I've had a busy summer working on the farm, hanging out with family and friends. I've had a lot of fun playing with my parents new puppy. We named her Zoey, and is very spoiled by all of us. I've gone on a couple four-wheeler rides, and have only been on the horse once. I've also been working on my scrapbook. I'm trying to get my 2007 Disney Cruise pictures done before I go again in December. My cousin Becky has spent about a month in Spring City this summer. We have gone walking almost every night. We have seen a lot of cool sunsets. When I return to Orem I'll have to find a nice walking tail. (any suggestions) Well I hope everyone is having a great summer.
